This blog is all about my software development experiences under Linux on my Dell Inspiron 9400.

It’s got the 1920×1200 high gloss screen driven by an ATI X1400 video card. I had the Intel 3945 wifi board installed along with the bluetooth module. I also had the media card reader installed so I can pick up my photos without stuffing around with cables. The one thing I wish I had paid a little extra for was the NVidia video card. No big deal though.

Right now I’m running Ubuntu 8 with great success. Some things still aren’t as smooth as the Microsoft world, but overall, it’s a great user experience, and it’s getting better by the day.
